Safetnet Mission

June 17, 2019 by Shirley

No-kill status is achievable, it’s a matter of responsible pet ownership. There is really no excuse not to spay or neuter your pet.

Woody

June 18, 2019 by Shirley

Woody, a young handsome bully mix with the ability to scale tall fences in a single bound. He has shown no behavior issues and gets along well with his foster siblings. Woody does like toys, especially “jolly balls” and is not prone to sharing. He is a sweet-natured fellow who just wants his permanent home and family. Feel free to email us for more info. As always, a home check, vet reference, and reasonable adoption fee apply.

Maddie

June 17, 2019 by Shirley

Maddie was a very sweet and lovable bully girl who blended in well with her foster family. She began to lose weight and her “mom” took her to the vet but he found nothing alarming. Just a short while later Maddie seemed to be getting worse and on examination she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. We were heartbroken but made the humane decision to end her suffering. Maddie was between 5-6 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and housebroken. She did very well with all her pack but certainly had her favorites. Rest in peace, sweet girl, you will be missed.

Duke

May 30, 2018 by Shirley

Yay!! Duke was adopted and is now in his new home.

For Pete’s Sake would like to officially welcome Duke to our rescue. This VERY handsome fella is ready to go! We’ve been told he is very kid and dog friendly but is not a lover of cats. They were right, he is absolutely fabulous!!! He LOVED my dog Goose and wanted to do nothing but play. They look like brothers! He has manners and knows how to sit and wait for a treat. He never offered to jump or be rough at all. This handsome boy would be a great addition to any family without cats.😬 If you’d like more info on Duke or to to meet him, please contact us. If you’d like to possibly foster, we are currently looking for a loving foster home for him too.

Mason

May 25, 2018 by Shirley

Take a look at Mason. He was an owner surrender who stole our hearts at first glance. He’s a very well behaved, energetic, intelligent young man who found a wonderful new family and best friend. Both Mason and his family are delighted. We love a good success story!

Petey – A Success Story

May 14, 2018 by Shirley

Petey, a perfect example of a success story. Originally pulled from a local shelter by For Pete’s Sake Rescue and fostered by a volunteer. Petey is high energy, very intelligent, and a little hard-headed.   After a failed adoption attempt, his foster mom admitted she was in love and decided not to uproot him again,  after all Petey had decided he was already home.
